Treasure hunt camping gamePreparations for this camping gameWrap a prize your kids can share. Hide the prize within the boundaries of the play area. Draw a map of the play area. Draw the trees, rocks and anything significant in that area. Draw an X over the spot where you hid the prize. Draw footsteps or arrows to indicate the path your kids are to take, to find the prize.
Bring your kids to the starting point. Give them the map. Teach them how to read the map. Let them follow the map to the prize Follow them around to guide them if necessary, and to ensure they do not get lost. Do not tell them what to do. Let them figure out for themselves.
Save spot - camping gameThis is a modified form of the game tag.Take a soft toy. Call it spot. Appoint one kid to be the bad guy. The bad guy takes spot and runs off while everyone counts to 10.
